Marcos Rogério Chaves da Silva is an Electrical Engineer (UMC), with an MBA in Business Management and a Specialization in Project Management, both from FGV-SP. For four decades he has been working on LV and MV power protection systems, and has experience in developing distributed power generation projects for terrestrial and embedded applications, LV and MV protection and selectivity studies and protection against the effects of incident energy emitted by arc faults. He is currently Director of TECPRO Soluções em Energia. He actively participates in various committees of CB-03 at COBEI - Comite Brasileiro de Eletricidade. He is secretary of the NBR 14039 standard revision committee, secretary of the NBR 16384 revision committee and rapporteur of the WG responsible for the future Incident Energy Management standard. At CB-24 ABNT, he is the Coordinator of the Committee responsible for developing the future technical standard 'Fire safety in photovoltaic installations'. He is Brazil's representative on IEC committees PC128 and TC99.

Formed by the interaction of lessons from family, friends and the academic world, be it a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo - USP, a Master's in Civil Engineering in Housing: Planning and Technology from IPT, a postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety from FAAP, a degree in Electrical Engineering from FEI (Fundação Educacional Inaciana Padre Saboia de Medeiros), as well as a period as a researcher at the Technological Research Institute of the State of São Paulo - IPT. He works in the field of Fire Safety - SCI, with an emphasis on forensics involving fire and explosion issues in all their diversity. Never forgetting that my professional career began at Metrô-SP, where I was taught the Code of Conduct: Safety, Speed and Comfort.

For more than 30 years, he has worked in Brazil and Germany on equipment and installations for the basic and manufacturing industries. A member of the NBR 5410 EC since 1990, he has published several works on the standard. He is a Life Senior Member of the IEEE, a senior member of the VDE, and a member of the IAFSS - International Association for Fire Safety Science, London. He is a consultant on Modern Electricity and PhotoVolt, and senior advisor to the Intersolar South America congress.

Additionally, in the Fotovoltaica-UFSC group, Marília helps coordinate the team and participates in research projects in the areas of battery energy storage, electric vehicles, and the production of green hydrogen. Marília is also the former treasurer and current vice-president of ABENS, the Brazilian Solar Energy Society
