Jobson Modena is an electrical engineer, director of GUISMO Engenharia, a member of the Brazilian Electricity Committee (Cobei), CB-3 of ABNT, where he currently participates as coordinator of the commission reviewing the standard for protection against atmospheric discharges (ABNT NBR 5419) and Brazil's representative on IEC TC 81. He is director of Guismo Engenharia.

He holds a degree in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1985), a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1988), a doctorate in Telecommunications Engineering in the specialty of Photovoltaic Systems - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (1993) and a Livre Docência in the specialty of Renewable Energies - University of São Paulo (2006). He is currently a full professor at the Energy and Environment Institute of the University of São Paulo, and a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Progress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications. He works in the field of electrical engineering, with an emphasis on photovoltaic systems, mainly on the following subjects: photovoltaic systems, rural electrification, home photovoltaic systems, photovoltaic pumping systems, distributed generation and grid-connected photovoltaic systems.

He is currently secretary of EC 64.10 - Protection against atmospheric discharges, rapporteur of WG 11 (Protection of photovoltaic systems against atmospheric discharges) and Brazil's representative on IEC TC 81.

Marília has experience in all stages of the development of photovoltaic systems, from sizing, simulation and design, to performance analysis, having participated in commissioning and fault detection activities of more than 300 MWp of utility-scale PV plants. Additionally, in the Fotovoltaica-UFSC group, Marília helps coordinate the team and participates in research projects in the areas of battery energy storage, electric vehicles, and the production of green hydrogen. Marília is also the former treasurer and current vice-president of ABENS, the Brazilian Solar Energy Society

Before joining SEIA, Abby served as Director of the Department of Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, the Director of the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA), Energy Advisor to Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, and Deputy General Counsel with the Maryland Public Service Commission. Before embarking on a career in public service, Abby spent nine years in private practice.
