He has knowledge in the areas of Renewable Energies, the Free Energy Market, Modernization of the electricity sector and electricity networks of the future. He has worked in the Subtransmission area at Neoenergia Coelba on substation projects.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (2002) and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (2005). Since 2021, he has been studying for a PhD at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech, where he is developing research in the area of inverter parallelism and synchronization systems for distributed generation systems connected or not to the electricity grid. He is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará, where he teaches Building and Industrial Electrical Installations. He also works as a technical consultant in the areas of Electrical Installations, Energy Quality, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energies, Power Electronics, Protection of Electrical Power Systems and Electrical Systems.

Bárbara Rubim, Bright Strategies

Bárbara Rubim currently heads Bright Strategies, a consulting firm advising renewable energy businesses on their legal and regulatory structure. In that capacity, she has helped develop more than 230 MW in energy projects in the last three years alone, and more than 2,200 people have completed her in-company training or her Masterclass on Regulation and Business Models in Distributed Generation. In her career in the energy sector, she has acted in public administration as a consultant to the Brazilian Congress, and has worked in the third sector as a coordinator of Greenpeace's Renewable Energy campaign in Brazil, and in the private sector. In addition, she also serves as the current Vice-President of the Managing Board of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Solar Photovoltaic Energy Association) and is the Director of Energy at FIESP's Infrastructure Department. Bárbara is a lawyer with an MBA in Finance and Business Strategies from the Federal University of Uberlândia. She specializes in the regulation of the electricity sector.

Professor Gustavo Doubek holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP and a PhD in Nuclear Technology - Materials from the Institute of Nuclear and Energy Research - IPEN/USP, having worked as a visiting researcher at YALE University - USA and as a product developer at 3M in the R&D&I area. He is currently an Associated Professor at the University of Campinas and researcher at the Center for Innovation in New Energies - CINE in the Advanced Energy Storage division. He has experience in the design and synthesis of nanomaterials applied to energy conversion and storage devices and product innovation processes. He works mainly on the following topics: Development of batteries and Fuel Cells for energy storage and conversion, Biofuel reformers and synthesis of catalysts and functional materials with several projects both with public and private funding.

Dr. Ricardo Bortolini is RDI Project Manager at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) unit of the Brazilian Company of Research and Industrial Innovation (EMBRAPII). He is also a Technical Advisor of the PV testing and certification laboratory (INRIFV) at UFSM. He is one of the founders of the PV laboratory where he worked as Technical Manager for 6 years, being responsible for interaction with standardization bodies like ABNT, IEC and Inmetro helping to develop the Brazilian standardization and certification infrastructure. Actually, he is responsible for the proposal and management of RDI projects related with renewable energies, especially PV projects and a technical advisor at the laboratory and for companies, helping them with PV related standards and to improve their own testing and certification infrastructures.
